Watch VideoBoxMEN on TV with Apple TV and AirPlay

In response to requests from our members, VideoBoxMEN has introduced VideoBoxMEN on AirPlay! That means that you can now stream media from 'iDevices' to your Apple TV... and, ta-dah: porn on your Apple TV!

Read on for instructions on how to connect using your Mac computer, your iPad, your iPhone or other device. For optimal viewing on a big-screen TV, we suggest you connect to Apple TV using your Mac, or using your iPad so you can access higher-resolution content.

Connect via your Mac

  1. Make sure that your Mac and your AppleTV are on the same network and that AirPlay is enabled on your AppleTV. There are ample instructions on the web for how to do this.
  2. Login to VideoBoxMEN.
  3. Download the scenes you'd like to view to your Mac. Drag them into iTunes.
  4. Play the scene you'd like to start watching in iTunes, and select 'Apple TV' from the AirPlay menu.
  5. Enjoy!

Connect via your iPad

  1. NOTE: the main VideoBoxMEN site is not yet optimized for easy/convenient iPad browsing; for instance, most click events have mouseover events tied to them, so you often have to tap twice to get a link to actually click. That will all be changed in the not-too-distant future. Also, the videos being streamed are H.264 DVD resolution only. We are not offering the ability to switch to a lower resolution yet.
  2. Make sure your iPad and your AppleTV are on the same network and that AirPlay is enabled on your AppleTV. There are ample instructions on the web for how to do this.
  3. For AirPlay mirroring, which enables you to view your iPad screen on your TV, follow the instructions found here.
  4. For non-mirrored AirPlay viewing, make sure your iPad is updated to iOS 4.3+. This will not work on 4.2 or lower.
  5. Point your iPad to www.videoboxmen.com. (Login with your VideoBoxMEN username and password if you are not logged in already.)
  6. On the Scenes or Clips Browse page, tap the title of a scene or clip you want to watch (this is almost always easier than trying to tap a thumbnail image, since those have many mouseover events and will rarely take you to the main video player page with one tap).
  7. Tap the H.264 DVD link, the iPhone link, or the "play scene" button on the resulting page to stream or to go to the HTML5 video player page. If you choose the player page, tap the triangular "play button" overlaid on the video player once it appears. You now have high-quality video streaming on your mobile device.
  8. Click the AirPlay icon and you should see the option to choose Apple TV for viewing the video.
  9. At this point, from the player page, you can also select additional items from the right-hand element (use 2 fingers to scroll them, and again tap the titles instead of the thumbs). Your new selection should load and then auto-play.

Connect via your iPhone

  1. Make sure your iPhone and your Apple TV are on the same network and that AirPlay is enabled on your Apple TV. There are ample instructions on the web for how to do this.
  2. For AirPlay mirroring, which enables you to view your iPhone's screen on your TV, follow the instructions found here.
  3. For non-mirrored AirPlay viewing: make sure your iPhone is using iOS 4.3 or greater. This will not work on 4.2 or lower.
  4. you can follow the iPad instructions above for viewing from the main VideoBoxMEN site.
